Get A Tattoo

My Process

The term ‘Tattoo flash’ refers to pre-designed tattoo artwork that is typically displayed in tattoo shops for clients to choose from.

In the early days, flash was often hand-painted and displayed on shop walls, offering clients a convenient way to choose a tattoo. As tattooing evolved, so did flash—moving from simple, repeatable designs to more specialised and custom work.

Each year, for lovers of my artwork, I create a number of limited and single edition pieces. All designed to look great together or on their own. It’s nothing new, I sell my art in exactly the same way Tattooists have made and sold art since the late nineteenth century. The only difference being that it’s displayed on my website and made digitally.

Flash art re-invented for the 21st Century client? Possibly.

All the artwork & Tattoo options I currently have available is »here« & I add new artwork throughout the year. All you have to do, is keep an eye on my social media, website or newsletter.

Each piece  of artwork (unless mentioned otherwise) is designed to be completed in a single session and each tattoo session is charged at my current day rate.

My Current Day Rate is £600

THE PROCESS

  1. Buy a piece of artwork or a tattoo option from my website. This replaces the traditional deposit system and starts ‘the ball rolling’.

  2. Send me (via email) any ‘options’ for your tattoo (a face for a portrait instance) and a photo of the area you want tattooed.

  3. Shortly after your purchase you will receive an email from my wife & studio manager – Carron. Tell her your preferred days and as soon as my diary opens (approx once every three months) She’ll email you with as many dates as you need based on your availability, the size and complexity of your tattoo etc.

  4. Arrive at Modern Electric on the morning of your appointment, check out your artwork and get tattooed. 😉

Should you decide to make your tattoo bigger at a later stage or, if you’re planning a large piece like a sleeve for example, it’s very easy for you to do. You just buy another piece of artwork and I’ll ’marry’ it to your existing piece. Bigger tattoos take more sessions of course but I do this all the time and it always works really well.

You can also decide to make the piece bigger than a single session and this is fine too. All my pieces ‘scale’ really well and working on bigger pieces is something than I enjoy a lot.

Every client receives a 50% discount code after their first purchase so you save on all subsequent art purchases.

Buy your artwork when you see it and we’ll contact you the next time my diary opens.

When you see a piece you like just, purchase it from my website and, once the payment has completed, my wife Carron will add your name to the list of clients waiting for appointments. You’ll be allocated the required number of slots to complete your new tattoo the next time I open my diary . I open and close my diary throughout the year (every 3 months) so you won’t have too long to wait.

When Carron offers you an appointment she will ‘hold’ it for 48hrs. So make sure that you have told her your preferred day of the week (Wednesday, Friday, Sunday) to avoid missing out and having to wait another 3 months.

This email comes from ‘info@paultlbt.com’ so please add it to your address book to avoid it ending up in your junk!

No deposit required

You’ve purchased artwork from me. This is a non-refundable artwork license that isn’t covered by the UK sale of of goods act – T&C’s are »here«.

Because of this NO DEPOSIT is required to make a booking. However, In the event of a ‘no show’ for any reason, you will be asked to pay 50% up front (non refundable) for any future bookings.

Customisation

Over the years is have found the complexity of my style makes it very hard to get a workable ‘brief’ from a client. So, I  do very few fully custom pieces (about 4 a year) these are – because of the amount of work involved considerably more expensive than my regular pieces.

But you’re more than welcome to customise your piece a little. The smallest of changes like colours, text, placement, body shape and skin tones all play a huge factor in making your tattoo completely unique. These small changes can all be handled on the morning of your appointment.

If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to drop me an email and I’ll attempt to answer them for you.
